SASSARI, Devecchi agree again
Jack DeVecchi stays putDinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari announced a new agreement with guard Jack Devecchi, who extended his contract until the end of the 2014-15 season, the club announced Thursday. Devecchi (1.96 meters, 27 years old) is set to start his seventh season with the club. He averaged 2.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 29 games last season, in which Sassari reached the Italian League semifinals for the first time in club history. Devecchi helped Sassari to win the Italian League second division in 2009-10. He started his career with Olimpia Milano and played three ULEB Cup games in the 2003-04 season. Devecchi moved up to join Premiata Montegranaro and was sent to Sassari on loan in the 2006-07 season. He joined Sassari on permanent basis the following summer and is now set to stay there for three more years. As such, Dinamo has already five players under contract for the upcoming season, as Devecchi joins Drake and Travis Diener, Brian Sacchetti and Tony Easley.
