ARTLAND adds playmaker Haynes

 To prepare its roster for the 2012-13 Eurocup Regular Season, German club Artland Dragons Quackenbrueck decided Friday to put the ball in the hands of point guard Marquez Haynes, who debuted last season in the competition. Haynes (1.88 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Gran Canaria 2014 of Spain, where he averaged 10.5 points and 1.8 assists in six Eurocup games last season, numbers that he more or less matched in 34 Spanish League games. It was the second season in Europe for Haynes, who made his professional debut in 2010-11 with Elan Chalon-Sur-Saone of France. He previously played for two American universities in Boston and Texas. He has also represented Georgia's national team in the last Eurobasket.
