One day after signing Demond Mallet at point guard, Artland Dragons found him a backcourt mate in Bryce Taylor, who has played the past three seasons in Germany. Taylor (1.93 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Alba Berlin, for whom he averaged 9.8 points and 4.8 rebounds last season in the Eurocup and 11.4 points and 3.8 boards in the German League. He began his professional career with Premiata Montegranaro of Italy in the 2008-09 season following a four-year stay at the University of Oregon. Taylor helped Oregon reach the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals and win the Pacific-10 Conference Tournament in 2007. He was a member of the United States national team that took part in the 2007 Pan-American Games played in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Taylor first came to Germany in 2009 and strutted his scoring skills with 18.5 points per game in the Eurocup. He joined Berlin in 2010.
"Bryce was of one of the best players in Germany at his position last season," Dragons head coach Stefan Koch said. "What I like about him is that he has a good mix of high skills and a high energy level. This excellent, high-quality combination is not found in many players. He will definitely make our team better. Bryce is a versatile and is also a good team player."
