2010 - Valencia does it again!
The 2010 Eurocup Finals proved a memorable weekend for exciting stories both on and off the court. Power Electronics Valencia became only the second two-time Eurocup winner with a record-setting performance in the final, led by big man Matt Nielsen, who was named MVP. Valencia, the competition's original champion back in 2003, downed Alba Berlin 44-67 in the title game in Vitoria, Spain. Defense was the story of the final, with the winners setting a new Eurocup final record by allowing just 22 points in the first half. Kosta Perovic powered the Power Electronics attack with 17 points. Despite the loss, Alba took price in reaching its first European final in a decade and a half. And off the court, fans from Berlin played an important role as some traveled 26+ hours by car and bus to reach Vitoria after flights were cancelled in the aftermath of a volcano.
