Bracey Wright - Cedevita (photo: Cedevita)Next stop, Treviso! Hey everyone, I'm Bracey Wright from Cedevita, and now we are really on our way to the Eurocup Finals. We're arriving today in Treviso, and to tell the truth, even though there is a home team in this tournament, we don't mind being visitors. In fact, one thing that has given us some confidence these last couple months is that we seem to play better on the road in the big games. We don't look at going on the road as any kind of trouble or disadvantage. It was something that was beneficial for us at times. We always felt good about getting where we are going and winning. And that attitude will help a lot today, because we are going by bus to Treviso. People might not realize that Zagreb is only five hours away, be we are hopping on our team bus and making our Road to Treviso and the Eurocup Finals on wheels!

We will have a lot of our fans taking the same route behind us - something like 500 coming from Croatia, they are saying - but we are treating Saturday's semifinal like an away game, in our minds. That gives us another little bit of confidence, since we already beat Unics on the road this season, at the end of the Last 16. It wasn't a do-or-die game, since both teams were set to advance anyway and our positions were pretty much locked up. But the two teams came out and played hard, and we learned some things. In that first game, we let them create too many opportunities from the pick-and-roll. In the second, we controlled it a lot better and kept a grip on the game. To keep it close in Kazan and win a tough game at their... more

Bracey Wright - Cedevita (photo kkcedevita.hr) Hey, Eurocup fans. Greetings from just about the last person who thought he'd be competing for a Eurocup title next weekend. I am Bracey Wright of Cedevita Zagreb, but just a couple months ago, I would have said: Cede-whatta? I was playing for another team, in Paris, and things weren't going well. Then, at the start of 2011, I heard about a team in Croatia that might be interested in me. It came through another player, not my agents, but they found out, too. I had not heard ever of Cedevita, but when they started telling me who was involved, I recognized a lot of names here. Then, when I found out they were going to the Last 16 in the Eurocup, I jumped on it. To me, an opportunity to have six games back in the Eurocup was just huge. I couldn't wait.

And then I get to Zagreb, and right away, it was like catching lightning in a bottle. My first day, soon getting a chance to meet the staff, the front office and everyone, I got out on the court with the team. Right away, it was a lot of guard-dominated basketball, pick-and-roll and up-tempo. Then after a couple games here, I realized that if you're a guard with an ability to create and score, to play pick-and-roll and run, you can have a monster time. And the guards here have shown just that. We joke around the team that this is like an NBA team in Croatia because of the scoring numbers. In 40 minutes, we can put up 100 points sometimes,... more
