THE TAKE

Dinamo Sassari will play its first-ever game on the continental stage to open its Eurocup season, and will do it with the experience of Romeo Sacchetti on the bench. Bootsy Thornton at forward, cousins Travis and Drake Diener in the backcourt and inside players Tony Easley and Micahl Ignerski are its players to watch. A team with great personality and shooting skill, Sassari will be spurred on by a sold out arena for its Eurocup debut. It won't be easy for Sassari, as it meets 2011 Eurocup runner-up Cajasol Seville, led by veteran coach Aito Garcia Reneses. On the court, guard Tomas Satoransky is one of the candidates to become the season’s rising star. Serbian duo Milenko Tepic and Luka Bogdanovic and U.S. duo of John Holland and Brian Ausbury will bring the scoring. Watch, too, for forward Kristaps Porzingis and guard Nikola Radicevic. The Dieners will be the main worry for the guests, and the fight under the boards crucial to Seville avoiding the fast-paced play loved by Sassari.

Head Coaches

SACCHETTI, ROMEO
Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari
"We played against a team with very tall and physical players. The players from the bench helped us out greatly. It was very important to win and we had the right attitude."
GARCIA RENESES, AITO
Cajasol Seville
"We started the season off badly. We're slowly getting better, but not as quickly as I'd like. We need to improve in defense and offense. The three point shots were very important in the game tonight. Dinamo made 15 three point shots and we only made 5. We've improved a lot. Dinamo is clever in its game."

Players

DIENER, TRAVIS
Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari
"I'm really happy that we won tonight, even though we didn't play very well. We need to do a lot better and we still have a lot of work to do. They're a really good team and our fans were great tonight, like always."
ASBURY, BRIAN
Cajasol Seville
"I think we have a good chance of winning the next time we play. It's my first time in the Eurocup and I'm really excited and I expect good things."
