THE STAKES

A win for Alba Berlin could qualify the German side for the next round, while Turow could grab second place, putting it in good position for the last two games.

THE TAKE

Alba Berlin can fill the net, averaging 81 points per game, the third-highest in the competition, including 46% from downtown. Turow is a completely different side, averaging just 61 points per game and shooting 28% percent from downtown, so the hosts will try to zero in on defense and control the tempo. Alba will look to control the boards to set an uptempo pace. The showcase matchup is between point-guards David Jackson and Dashaun Woods.

A jumper by Yassin Idbihi and free throws by Moore fixed the score at 12-18 after 10 minutes. Schaffartzik shined with a floating layup but Wysocki sank back-to-back triples and Moore beat the buzzer with an off-balance shot for a 50-61 Turow deficit after 30 minutes. Edwards took over with a put-back dunk early in the fourth quarter, igniting a 6-0 run that Wysocki capped with an easy basket for a 56-61 score with 7 minutes left. Francis shined with a jump hook and free throws by Allen gave Alba a 58-67 lead. Moore had 4 unanswered points and free throws by Wysocki and Daniel Kickert got Turow within 65-69 with 1:35 left. Head Coaches

WINNICKI, JACEK
PGE Turow
"I would like to congratulate my team and the players. It was a very good game. As you can see we still count for the fight to the Last 16. Alba is a very strong team, especially in offense and this win is very important for us."
HERBERT, GORDON
Alba Berlin
"It was a very good game. Congratulations for PGE Turow Zgorzelec. We played hard in defense and offense for the first half but then we started to commit stupid mistakes and Turow used it for its adventage. We lost the focus of the game and Turow started to make up for its loss."

Players

JACKSON, DAVID
PGE Turow
"For the moment I am very happy that we won the game. We won because we believed in us, our team. We stayed together even when it was hard for us, even when we were eighteen points behind we still strongly believed we could have made it. Wow. What a game. Two overtimes against a very strong team of Alba but we still made it to win. We believed in our coach and he believed in us. We won and this is what makes me very happy."
FRANCIS, TORIN
Alba Berlin
"Congratulations to Turow. It was a hard game, it lasted fifty minutes, two overtimes, that makes any game hard. We also came from Berlin, spent some time on the road and maybe that is also why we lost."
