Azovmash inks Pustozvonov, Kryvych
Maksym PustozonovAzovmash kept filling its roster and improved it for its initial goal of reaching the 2010-11 Eurocup through the Qualifying Rounds by inking forward Maksym Pustozvonov and swingman Rostislav Kryvych, the club announced Thursday. Terms of the deal are undisclosed. Pustozvonov (200, 23) arrives from archrivals BC Kyiv, where he has played throghout his entire career until now. He averaged 13.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 32 Ukrainian League games last season. Pustozvonov is also a member of the Ukrainian national team. He helped Kyiv to reach the Ukrainian League finals in 2008 and three consecutive Ukrainian Cup title games from 2008 to 2010. Kryvych (198, 31) arrives from Hoverla Ivano-Frankivsk, where he averaged 10.1 points in 16 Ukrainian League games last season. He started the 2009-10 season with BC Donetsk but joined Hoverla once the team folded in February. Kryvych has also played for Sumihimprom Sumy from 2001 to 2008 and has been a member of the Ukrainian national team. Pustozvonov and Kryvych join other newcomers such as rebounding machine Charles Thomas and center Dan McClintock.
