Gran Canaria 2014 keeps putting together its roster in time to get ready for the Eurocup Qualifying Round by inking point
guard to a two-year deal, the club announced Thursday. Green (183, 24) arrives from AEK Athens, where he averaged 15.1
points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 23 Greek League games last season, being its second-best top scorer. Green has also
played for CAI Zaragoza in Spain, Idaho and Colorado in the D-League, as well as for Portland and Denver in the NBA. He
helped the University of Florida to win back-to-back NCAA Tournament titles in 2006 and 2007. Green also helped the Gators to
win three consecutive SEC Tournament titles in as many seasons in Florida. "I am extremely happy to play for a team like Gran Canaria, which is always in the upper part of the Spanish League standings. I hope to help the team to keep winning. I am very satisfied with the team we are putting together, as I know some players and know that they are very talented," Green said. "I see myself as a leader and a winner. I think I am a better player now that I was when I last played in Spain because, among other things, I got used to the European basketball style. I love to get my teammates involved and consider myseld aggressive on both ends of the floor."
