On the last day of possible signings for Eurocup teams this season, Aris BSA 2003 added a serious perimeter scoring threat in shooting guard Matt Walsh, who was one of the top guns in the Euroleague earlier this season. Walsh arrives from Union Olimpija, for whom he was the third-best scorer in the Euroleague regular season with 17.3 points per game. He also recorded 4.8 rebounds per game for Olimpija. Walsh burst onto the scene as the Euroleague regular season Week 2 co-MVP after drilling 7 of 9 three-pointers en route to 32 points and a 36 index. Aris will be his second Greek club since making his European debut there with Olimpia GE Larissa during the 2006-07 season. Walsh has also played for Manresa in Spain and Spirou Charleroi in Belgium, whom he helped to win back-to-back Belgian League titles in the last two seasons. Walsh also earned Belgian League finals MVP honors last season.
