UNICS: tabs Fedor Likholitov
Fedor Likholitov (Photo: BC Triumph)Unics Kazan added talent and size to its roster for the upcoming 2009-10 Eurocup season by inking veteran center Fedor Likholitov to a two-year deal. Likholitov (210, 29) arrives from Ural Great, where he averaged 10.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 21 Russian League games last season. He has also played for Triumph Lyubertsy, Baltika St.Petersburg and Dynamo Moscow in his native Russia, Aris in Greece and Strasbourg in France since finishing his four-year college career at the Virginia Commonwealth University (NCAA). He helped Aris to win the Greek Cup in 2004 and the FIBA Eurocup in 2003. Likholitov also lifted the ULEB Cup trophy with Dynamo in 2006. He has also been a member of the Russian national team.
