GALATASARAY gets big man Rado Rancik
Radoslav Rancik - Benetton BasketGalatasaray Café Crown has signed a primetime Eurocup performer to shore up its frontline in Rado Rancik, last with Benetton Treviso. Rancik (207, 30) has proven over the best two years to be a do-it-all player, who can carry a team when needed or fill a role. Last season it was the latter, as he averaged 9.5 points and 4.4 rebounds in 10 Eurocup games, helping Benetton reach the Eurocup Final Eight. The previous season he ranked fourth in the ULEB Cup in scoring when he posted 19.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game in leading CEZ Basket Nymburk to the elimination rounds. In his three seasons with Nymburk, Rancik helped the club win three Czech League titles. He has also played for Istra Pula in Croatia, as well as for CSP Limoges, Bourg en Bresse, Paris Basket Racing, Chalons-en-Champagne and Evreux Basket in France.
