BIELLA brings aboard big man Plisnic
Vanja Plisnic Angelico Biella added size and experience to its frontline in anticipation of its Eurocup debut with the signing of Vanja Plisnic. The big man arrives from Ural Great in Russia, where he averaged 12.9 points and 5.5 rebounds in 16 EuroChallenge games last season, helping his club reach the quarterfinals. Plisnic (207, 28) has several seasons worth of Eurocup experience from earlier in his career. He grew up with NAP Novi Sad, and has also spent time with Radnicki, Vojvodina, FMP Zeleznik and Hemofarm in Serbia as well as with Telindus Oostende in Belgium. Plisnic won the Serbia and Montenegro Cup in 2003 and the Adriatic league in 2004 with Zeleznik.

"We are pleased to have signed Plisnic, "general manager Alessandro Giuliani said. "Vanja is the prototype of the modern 4, very good at playing without the ball. Despite his size, he has great speed on the release of hit three-point shot that allows him to be dangerous. He’s a player of great experience in Europe and has a considerable degree of understanding of the game."
