SLUC NANCY keeps Akin Akingbala
Akin Akingbala - SLUC NancySluc Nancy reached an agreement with center Akin Akingbala to extend his contract until the end of the 2010-11 season. Akingbala (208, 26) joined Nancy in December 2008 and averaged 9.3 points and 7.6 rebounds in 24 French League games last season. He helped Nancy to make it to the French Cup final and the French League semifinals. Akingbala, an accomplished defensive big man, has also played for Universitet-Yugra Surgut in Russia, Ventspils in Latvia, Lleida in Spain and the Los Angeles D-Fenders in the D-League since finishing his college career at Clemson University (NCAA). He earned MVP honors at the 2008 Latvian League All-Star Game.
