CHOLET brings in rookie Alex Barnett
Alex Barnett (Photo: dartmouthsports.com/MarkWashburn)Cholet Basket signed rookie swingman Alex Barnett for the coming season, which will be the player's first as a professional. Barnett (198, 23) finished his college basketball career at Dartmouth College, where he was named the Ivy League's 2008-09 Player of the Year. He averaged 19.4 points and 5.6 rebounds in 28 games last season for the Big Green. He led the Ivy League in scoring and ranked among the top 10 in rebounding (8th), free throw percentage (82%, 2nd), steals (1.3 spg, 8th), three-point field goal percentage (40.9%, 6th), blocked shots (1.2, 3rd) and minutes played (34.1, 5th). Barnett finished his Dartmouth career with 1,374 points to place him eighth on the school’s all-time scoring list.
