DKV JOVENTUT inks Uros Tripkovic
DKV Joventut Badalona upgraded its perimeter attack by signing one of the purest young shooters in the world, swingman Uros Tripkovic, who despite his age has been a double-digit Euroleague scorer for several years. Tripkovic (197, 22) comes from his original club, Partizan Belgrade, where averaged 10.1 points over 19 Euroleague games last season. Tripkovic played seven Euroleague seasons total with Partizan starting with his debut in 2002, a month after his 16th birthday. He has averaged 10 or more points in Euroleague play during every season but one since becoming a fulltime player in 2004. Last season, Tripkovic averaged the third-most three-pointers made among all Euroleague players on the strength of the 3 per game he buried in the crucible of the Top 16. Tripkovic's heroics in that round helped Partizan reach the Quarterfinal Playoffs for the second consecutive season, quite an accomplishment for one of the youngest teams in the competition. This will be his first season playing in the Eurocup.
