DKV JOVENTUT lands Clay Tucker
Clay Tucker joins Joventut (Photo: Berni Perez - EnCancha.com)DKV Joventut added even more fire power to its backcourt for the upcoming 2009-10 season by inking shooting ace Clay Tucker to a one-year deal, the club confirmed Thursday. Tucker (195, 29) arrives from Cajasol, where he averaged 17.5 points, 2.5 assists and 2.1 steals in 11 Spanish League games last season. He helped the team to avoid relegation, averaging 20.2 points in 6 consecutive wins that allowed Cajasol to stay away from any troubles. Tucket started the 2008-09 season with Ukrainian powerhouse BC Kyiv. He averaged 15.9 points in 8 Ukrainian League games with Kyiv. Tucker has also played for Teramo in Italy, Khimki in Russia, Le Mans in France, the Arkansas RimRockers in the D-League, Ment Vassilakis in Greece, the Utah Snowbears in the ABA and Sundsvall Dragons in Sweden. He helepd Khimki to win the 2008 Russian Cup title. Tucker was also the 2007-08 Italian League top scorer (21 ppg.) playing for Teramo.
