NYMBURK completes roster with Lewis

Ron Lewis joins NymburkCEZ Basketball Nymburk rounded out its roster for the coming season by inking guard Ron Lewis to a one-year deal, the club announced Friday. Lewis (193, 25) arrives from Iscar Nahariya, where he averaged 18.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.8 steals in 25 Israeli League games last season. He was the fourth-best scorer in the Israeli League last season. Lewis has also played for Spotter Leuven in Belgium after a college career at Ohio State University, where he helped the Buckeyes to win the Big 10 Tournament and make it to the NCAA Tournament final in 2007, his senior season, in which he averaged 12.7 points and 3.6 rebounds.

"I am very pleased that we signed Rom Lewis to complete our roster. Lewis is a great shooter, especially from long distance," Nymburk head coach Muli Katzurin said. "He is the kind of player ready to take responsibilities in crunch time."

Nymburk also announced that Ales Chan will not play for the perennial Czech League champions next season.
