BIELLA bulks up with Pasco, Achara
Kieron Achara, Biella-boundPallacanestro Biella has announced the additions of center Kieron Achara and Pervis Pasco, forming a stronger frontcourt for the 2009-10 season. Pasco (206, 29) arrives from Solsonica Rieti, where he averaged 9.8 points, 9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 blocks in 23 Italian League games last season. He ranked third in the league in rebounding and fifth in steals and blocks last year. Pasco has also played for Scavolini Pesaro and Teramo in Italy, Changwon LG Sakers in South Korea, Al Rayyan in Qatar, Erdemirspor Belediyesi in Turkey and Al Manama in Bahrain during his career. He helped Al Manama win the Bahrain League in 2004 and also lifted the Asian Club Championship with Al Rayyan in 2005.

Achara (208, 25) arrives from Fortitudo Bologna, where he averaged 4 points and 1.2 rebounds in five Eurocup games last season. It was Achara's first season as a professional basketball player following a five-year stay at the University of Duquesne in 2008. Achara is also a member of the British national team.
