CHOLET closes roster with Rodrigue Mels
Rodrigue Mels, to CholetCholet Basket announced Friday the closing of its roster with the addition of French guard Rodrigue Mels (187, 24) for one season. Mels arrives from having played college ball in the CSU Northridge Matadors, where he averaged 9.0 points, 1.3 assists, 1.5 setals and 2.5 rebounds in over 18 minutes per game. He was named MVP of the All-Tournament Big West also, while leading his team into taking the Big West title. Mels has always been a top prospect of French ball and from 2000 he was in some clubs focused on developing young players of France, and in 2003 he joined the Nancy Formation Centre with which he was French champ of amateur teams in 2004. After that, he moved to the United States to play college ball with West Indies and then in Midland CC before joining California State last season.
