BIELLA lands guard Fred Jones

Fred Jones, to BiellaAngelico Biella announced the addition of guard Fred Jones (188, 30) to a one-year deal. Jones started his career in Oregon University, where he averaged 14 and 18 points respectively in his last two seasons there. He was also in the All-Pac 10 Team and entered the Elite 8 in 2002. He was picked by the Indiana Pacers in the 2002 NBA Draft with pick number 14. He signed a three-year contract there until the 2004-05 season, in which he averaged 10 points per game as the team reached the Eastern Conference Finals. He stayed one more year there before moving to Toronto to play with the Raptors, but he finished the season in Portland with the Trail Blazers. In 2007 he joined the New York Knicks and last season he played with the Los Angeles Clippers, averaging 7.0 points per night. Among his accolades is also the Slam Dunk Title in 2004, beating Jason Richardson in the final.
