SIAULIAI signs shooter Derrick Low
Derrick Low (Photo: bcsiauliai.lt)BC Siauliai bolstered its backcourt by signing guard Derrick Low for the coming season. Low (186, 23) split his first professional season last year between Australia, where he averaged 19.3 points and 3.5 assists for the Sydney Spirit, and France, where he recorded 9.7 points and 2.6 assists in 18 games for Rouen. A native of Hawaii, Low first made a name for himself playing college basketball at Washington State University, where he was a teammate of current Euroleague players Thomas Kelati of Olympiacos and Aron Baynes of Lietuvos Rytas. As a senior at WSU, he led the Cougars in scoring with 14.1 points per game and set a school single-season record for with 92 three-pointers.
