CRVENA ZVEZDA adds guard Filip Videnov
Filip Videnov – Bulgaria (Photo: FIBA Europe)Crvena Zvezda Belgrade signed shooting guard Filip Videnov to a one-year deal on Tuesday. Videnov (29, 196) arrives from Spanish side CB Granada, where he averaged 5.8 points in 31 Spanish ACB League games last season. Videnov returns to the competition for the first time since playing a single ULEB Cup game for Split in November 2003. The well-traveled Videnov began his career playing college basketball at Western Kentucky University in the United States and has since suited up for Levski Sofia and F.C. Dunav Ruse in his native Bulgaria, Split in Croatia, SLUC Nancy in France, Tekelspor in Turkey, Real Madrid and Cajasol Sevilla in Spain and Solsonica Rieti in Italy. He has also been a regular member of the Bulgarian national team, for whom he averaged 11 points this summer at EuroBasket 2009.

"I am happy to come here to Crvena Zvezda. I know coach Petrovic and I think we have the right to expect a successful season," Videnov said after arriving in Belgrade.
