PGE TUROW: Urlep named head coach

Urlep, who takes over from Sasa Obradovic, is expected to be on the sidelines for Saturday’s Polish League contest against Anwil Wloclawek. The 52-year-old coach is a well-known figure in Polish basketball, having won the Polish League five times and finished as runner-up twice. He also coached the Polish national team for a period. Urlep inherits a talented Turow squad that is ranked fourth in the Polish League at 6-4 and last in its Eurocup regular season group at 0-2. Among the teams he has coached during his career are Slask Wroclaw, Anwil Wloclawek and Basket Kwidzyn in Poland.
