OLDENBURG tabs Chris McNaughton
Christopher McNaughton (Photo: FIBA Europe / Elio Castoria)EWE Baskets Oldenburg has found a new center in Christopher McNaughton, who inked a two-year deal with the German powerhouse on Monday. McNaughton (211, 27) arrives from BG Goettingen, where he averaged 7.4 points and 2.9 rebounds in 37 German League games last season. He boosted his numbers up to 8.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in 15 EuroChallenge games, helping Goettingen to win the title. McNaughton has also played for Faymasa Palencia, CB Prat and CB L'Hospitalet in Spain since he finished his career at Bucknell University. He helped Palencia to win the Spanish third division in 2009 and has been a member of the German national team. "I am happy that we managed to sign Christopher. He has played an important tole in Goettingen and gained international experience," Oldenburg head coach Predrag Krunic said.
