OLDENBURG extends Rickey Paulding
Ricky Paulding - EWE Baskets OldenburgEWE Baskets Oldenburg bounced back from its disappointment exit in the German League playoffs by extending franchise player Rickey Paulding until the end of the 2011-12 season, the club confirmed Tuesday. Paulding (196, 27) is set to enter his fourth year with Oldenburg and helped the team to win the German League title in 2009, allowing his club to make his Euroleague debut last season. He averaged 11 points and 2 assists in 10 Euroleague games last season but boosted his numbers up to 13.2 points and 2.2 assists in 36 German League showdowns. Paulding has also played for BCM Gravelines Dunkerque Grand Litoral and Adecco Asvel in France and also for Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel. "We are proud to keep counting on Rickey Paulding, one of the best players in the German League. He and his family feel very comfortable in our city and the club," Oldenburg general manager Hermann Schueller said. "The best part is that he remains faithful to us."
