SIAULIAI tabs Darius Gvezdauskas
Darius GvezdauskasSiauliai started to get ready for the 2010-11 Eurocup season by inking scoring ace Darius Gvezdauskas to a three-year deal, the club confirmed Tuesday. He replaces Deividas Gailius, who left the club to join Virtus Bologna. Gvezdauskas (191, 21) arrives from Nevezis Kedainiai, where he averaged 16 points, 2.7 assists and 1.6 steals in 23 Lithuanian League games last season. He has also played for Aisciai Kaunas, KKM Kauno and Albara Lagiva Kaunas before joining Nevezis. Gvezdauskas has also been a member of the Lithuanian under-16, under-18 and under-19 national teams. He helped Lithuania to win the silver medal at the 2006 European under-18 Championships.
