BANVIT signs Mutlu Akpinar
Mutlu Akpinar - Turk TelekomBanvit keeps getting ready for its Eurocup debut in the upcoming 2010-11 season by inking Multu Akpinar to a one-year deal, the club confirmed Saturday. Akpinar (203, 27) arrives from Turk Telekom Ankara, where he has played for each of the last 10 seasons. Akpinar averaged 3.9 points in 21 Turkish League games last season. He has also been a member of the Turkish national team. He helped Telekom to win the Turkish Cup title and reach the Turkish League semifinals in 2008. Akpinar also reached two other Turkish Cup title games in 2001 and 2003. Akpinar has 29 games of Eurocup experience, which will be very useful for Banvit in its first season in the competition.
