K. KRYLIA keeps Bremer, Karaulov
Krasnie Krylia re-signed playmaker J.R. Bremer and center Sergey Karaulov, keeping a flavor from last season’s team as the club moves forward. Bremer (188, 29) is a savvy playmaker who led the Russian League (5.6 apg.) and ranked second in the FIBA Eurochallenge (5.5 apg.) in assists last season. He also averaged 13.5 points in the Russian League and 11.1 in the Eurochallenge, helping Krasnie Krylia reach the competition’s title game. Bremer has past experience at the highest levels, including playing the 2004-05 season in the Euroleague for Unicaja, where he recorded 12.2 points and 2.5 assists per game. He played college basketball at St. Bonaventure University at then spent two seasons in the NBA with Boston, Cleveland and Golden State. After coming to Europe for the first time to play for Unicaja, he has since suited up for Biella in Italy, PAOK in Greece, Bosna AHT BHT in Bosnia and Spartak Primorie Vladivostok in Russia.
Karaulov (215, 26) averaged 3.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in the Russian League and 2.6 points and 2.7 boards in the Eurochallenge. Karaulov began his career at BC Khimki Moscow Region and he has also played for Standart Samarskiy Region and Lokomotiv Rostov in Russia.
