KRASNYE KRYLIA tabs Rush, Anisimov
Brion Rush - BC Triumph (photo bctriumph.com)Krasnye Krylia improved its backcourt for its upcoming Eurocup debut by inking guards Brion Rush and Aleksandr Anisimov to respective two-year deals, the club announced Thursday. Rush (186, 25) arrives from Triumph Lyubertsy, where he averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 6 Eurocup games last season. He was the Russian League's second top scorer (18.8 ppg.) last season. Rush has also played for Strasbourg and Chorale in France and Jesi in the Italian second division since finishing his four-year career at Grambling State University (NCAA). In 2007-08, Rush averaged 15.4 points in 14 Euroleague games and helped Roanne to reach the French League final. Anisimov (185, 24) arrives from Enisey Krasnoyarsk, where he has played in each of the last seven years. He averaged 4.9 points in 18 Russian League games last season. "Rush and Anisimov completes our team's backcourt. The combination of Russian and foreign players will give our coach many options in every game," Krasnye Krylia general director Sergei Timofeyev said.
