CANTU extends Arminas Urbutis
Arminas UrbutisNGC – Bennet Cantu reached a new agreement with forward Arminas Urbutis to extend his contract until the end of the 2011-12 season, the club announced Wednesday. Urbutis (206, 24) averaged 4.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in 9 Italian League games last season. He helped Cantu to make it all the way to the Italian League semifinals. Cantu has been his only professional team so far, as Urbutis finished his college career at Hofstra University in spring 2009. Urbutis has been a member of the Lithuanian under-20 national team that got the silver medal at the 2006 Global Games in Dallas, USA. "We decided to extend Arminas' contract because he gave us a great contribution in practice and when he stepped on court last season," Cantu president Alessandro Corrado said.
