SIAULIAI inks Edgaras Stanionis
Siauliai improved its roster for the upcoming Eurocup season by bringing in young scorer Edgaras Stanionis on Monday. Terms of the deal are undisclosed. Stanionis (181, 22) arrives from Erelita-KTU, where he became one of the best scorers in the Lithuanian second division last season. He averaged 19 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 38 Lithuanian second division last season. His best game came against Silute, as he had 37 points on 7-of-11 three-pointers in 31 minutes. Stanionis had three double-doubles last season, including a 32-point, 13-rebound effort against Meresta. He has also played for Taurages Bremena-KTU-Zalvaris throughout his short, promising career. Stanionis now has the chance to test his scoring skills against some of the best defensive stopper in Europe in what will be his Eurocup debut season.
