EWE BASKETS also adds Oliver Stevic
EWE Baskets Oldenburg is having a busy week as on Thursday the German club announced the addition of center Oliver Stevic (205, 26) for one season with an option for another. Stevic arrives from Crvena Zvezda of Serbia where last season he averaged 8.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in 11 Eurocup games. Stevic started the season slowly but he gained confidence as games passed earning more minutes on court and also becoming a regular starter. Stevic grew up with the BC FMP young teams until he made his pro debut in 2003 with Borac Cacak, where he spent two seasons. In 2005 he moved to Masinac Kraljevo and in April of 2006 he moved to Slovenia to join KK Koper. In 2006 he joined ASCO Slask Wroclaw, where he spent three seasons making his debut in the ULEB Cup. He started the 2008-09 season also in Slask, but due to financial reasons the club was not active and Stevic moved to Anwil Wloclawek. Soon after, in January of 2009 he moved back to Serbia to jon Crvena Zvezda where he has been playing until now and where he reached the Serbian Cup final in 2009.
