NGC CANTU lands young talent Dukulis
Edmunds DukulisNGC Bennet Cantu announced on Wednesday the signing of teenage forward Edmunds Dukulis for the next three seasons. Dukulis (201, 18) arrives from VEF Riga in his native Latvia, where last season he averaged 12 points and 4.2 rebounds in 32 Latvian League games. Dukulis made his debut in 2005 with BS Riga/pols, where he played for two seasons in the Latvian junior league. In 2007-08 he joined ASK Riga to also play in the lower leagues. He satretd the following season with BA Riga in the second division, but soon left to play for VEF Riga. Dukulis has also been a member of the Latvian junior national teams. Thus summer he shined with 13.6 points and 8.4 rebounds at the U-18 European Championships in Lithuania to help his team win the bronze medal.
