PAOK tabs Donnie McGrath
PAOK BC improved its backcourt for the upcoming Eurocup season by inking combo guard Donnie Mc Grath, who inked a one-year deal with his new team this weekend. McGrath (193, 26) is back to Greece, as he previously played for Egaleo and AEK. He finished his college career at Providence University and opted to play professional basketball in Europe right after his graduation. McGrath joined Cantu in summer 2006 but switched Italian teams to sign for Virtus Bologna midway through the 2007-08 season. Last season, McGrath played for AEK, averaging 12 points on 94.4% free throws and 2.3 assists in 8 Greek League games. He finished the season with Italian side Varese, averging 5.3 points and 1.7 assists in 15 games. McGrath is also a member of the Irish national team.
