PAOK lands youngster Sims
American forward Deshawn Sims became the first player of PAOK Thessaloniki for the 2010-11 season, getting ready for the Eurocup Qualifying Round. Sims (203, 22) graduated at the University of Michigan, where he averaged 16.8 points and 7.6 boards in the NCAA 2009-10 season. The nicknamed 'Peety' was named to the second-team All-Big Ten selection by both the coaches and the media and concluded the season as the Big Ten Conference leader in offensive boards. "PAOK is my first professional team and I feel enthusiastic to enjoy this experience out of my country. I am impatient to be member of the team, where Peja Stojakovic and Scott Skiles have already played" Sims stated.
