PANELLINIOS adds prospect Karathanasis
Ioannis Karathanasis - Greece (Photo: FIBA Ciamillo Castoria)Panellinios continues roster building for the 2010-11 Eurocup by picking up small forward Ioannis Karathanasis on loan for the season from Olympiacos. Karathanasis (203,19) grew up with Asteria Panorama in Thessaloniki before joining Olympiacos as a young prospect for the 2008-09 season. He did not play in any official game with the Reds and was loaned instead to second division side Mantoulidis to gain more experience. As a member of the Greek national team, Karathanasis won the gold medal at the 2008 European U-18 Championships.
