ANWIL brings former player Thomas back
Anwil Wloclawek signed playmaker Chris Thomas for two seasons, bringing the player back to the club that he helped win the 2007 Polish Cup. Thomas (186, 28) has spent the past three seasons in the Spanish League playing for CB Murcia and Fuenlabrada. Last season he averaged 9.8 points and 3 assists last season for Fuenlabrada. Thomas had a storied amateur career, being named Mr. Basketball as the high school player of the year in Indiana. He was a star at the University of Notre Dame, where he set the school's alltime assists record and was named to its All-Century team. After college, he played one season for Fabriano Basket in Italy and half a season for Maroussi in Greece before coming to Anwil and recording 10.2 points and 3.5 assists per game in leading the team to cup glory and the playoff semifinals.
