UNICS KAZAN inks scorer Minard
Ricky Minard - Lottomatica RomaUnics Kazan bolstered its perimeter attack with the signing of swingman Ricky Minard, who finished last season with fellow Russian side BC Khimki. Minard (200, 28) began last season with Virtus Roma and averaged 11.2 points and 4.3 rebounds in nine Euroleague games. Kazan will be his second Eurocup stop after starring for Reggio Emilia in the 2005-06 season and helping that team reach the quarterfinals. Minard has played seven seasons in Europe after a college basketball career at Morehead State University. He played most of that time in Italy with Reggio Emilia, Biella, Montegranaro and Roma.
