PANELLINIOS brings Samo Udrih
Panellinios BC reinforced its backcourt with a major signing, as the club announced a deal with Slovenian guard Samo Udrih (195, 31). He will replace Darko Rancic who left due to personal and family problems. Udrih grew up with KK Kovinotehna Savinjska Polzela during the 1998-99 championship and since then has played for KK Pivovarna Lasko, KD Slovan Ljubljana and BC Olimpija Ljubljana in his country. He moved to France for the 2003-04 season, signed by Maurienne, Pro-B and came back to Slovenia to play for 1-B team Hopsi Polzela. On December 2004 Udrih moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv and then spent three seasons in Spain, with Girona CB, CB Granada and Estudiantes Madrid. Udrih split the 2009-10 season between Hopsi Polzela and Cibona Zagreb, where he averaged 7.3 points, 1.7 boards and 2.2 assists in the Euroleague. Udrih won the 2009-10 Croatian National Championship with Cibona, the 2003 Slovenian National Cup with BC Olimpija Ljubljana and the fourth place at the 2009 European Championships, with the Slovenian National Team.
