KRASNYE KRYLIA hires Eremin as coach
Stanislav EreminKrasnye Krylia named Stanislav Eremin as its new head coach on Monday after the sides agreed to terms for this season with an option for 2011-12. Eremin, 59, has extensive experience with the top clubs and the Russian national team as both a player and coach. After stints with the juniors and as an assistant coach, he became head coach in 1992 and led the club to eight league championships and a Euroleague Final Four appearance in 1996. In 2000 Eremin moved to Unics Kazan, where he spent six seasons and helped the club win the FIBA Europe League title in 2004 as well as appearances in the ULEB Cup semifinals and the Russian League finals. He also coached the Russian national team between 1999 and 2002, leading it at the Olympic Games, EuroBasket and World Championships.
