EWE BASKETS signs playmaker Gill
Eddie Gill - Dynamo MoscowEWE Baskets Oldenburg improved its roster for the second part of the Eurocup regular season by inking playmaker Eddie Gill for the remainder of the season, the club confirmed Monday. Gill (183, 32) arrives from Base Oostende, where he averaged 7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.2 steals in 26 Belgian League games last season. He helped Oostende to win the Belgian Cup title. Gill has also played for Milwaukee, Seattle, New Jersey, Indiana, Portland and Memphis in the NBA, Idaho, Colorado and Asheville in the D-League, Dakota in the CBA, Kansas City in the ABA, Las Vegas in the IBL, Dynamo Moscow in Russia, Ionikos in Greece, as well as for Reggio Emilia and Fortitudo in Italy. Gill helped Dynamo to make it to the Euroleague Quarterfinals in 2007 and won the D-League title with Colorado in 2009.

"We needed to strengthen this position," EWE Baskets general manager Hermann Schueller said. "Gill is an experienced point guard who will direct our offense."
