CEZ NYMBURK nabs McKay at guard
CEZ Basketball Nymburk bolstered its backcourt with the signing of former Czech League scoring champ Myles McKay. The deal is through mid-January with a team option to extend the contract through the end of the season. McKay (190, 24) played for USK Prague last season, with whom he recorded 23.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists over 44 regular season games. He began this season with Italian second division side San Severo, but was released after the team got off to a poor start despite McKay posting 15.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in seven games. McKay previously played college basketball at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee and later for two season at Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he was a two-time All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference first team selection and averaged 20.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in his senior season. The signing helps replenish the roster after forward Adam Koch was released.
