PANELLINIOS tabs Francis at center
Torin FrancisPanellinios bolstered its frontcourt with the signing of center Torin Francis for the remainder of the season. Francis (210, 28) returns to play in Greece for the third time after previous stints with AE Larissa and AEK Athens. He arrives from Bornova Belediye, where he averaged 10.2 points and 7.2 boards in 13 Turkish League games. Francis played college basketball at the University of Notre Dame and has since played professionally in Europe in Italy for Orlandina Basket and Cantu, for Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel and the aforementioned stops in Greece and Turkey. He joins Panellinios in time to help the club in the Eurocup Last 16 where it will compete with Benetton Bwin Treviso, Alba Berlin and Cajasol Sevilla in Group L. This will be his first Eurocup experience.
