CEDEVITA signs scoring guard Wright
Bracey Wright - BC OostendeAfter learning that an injury would keep Marino Bazdaric sidelined for another month, KK Cedevita decided to sign veteran scoring guard Bracey Wright to a two-month contract with an option to extend it for the rest of the season. Wright (191, 26) arrives from French club Paris-Levallois, where he averaged 9.2 points in 11 games this season. He is a career double-digit scorer in the Euroleague after netting 14.9 points per game for Aris Thessaloniki in the 2007-08 season and 12.1 for DKV Joventut the following year. Wright has also played for Ostende in Belgium, Minnesota in the NBA and Florida in the NBDL after a standout college basketball career at the University of Indiana. He was a member of the USA under-18 and under-21 national teams and won a gold medal at the 2004 FIBA Americas U-21 championships.

"He is a great player with great experience in the NBA and the Euroleague," head coach Aleksandar Petrovic said. "I have heard a lot of good things about him from his former coaches and the players who have played with him and against him."

"My first impression of Zagreb is great," Wright said. "I look forward to living here for some time, although this is not my first contact with Zagreb since I played here against Cibona in the Euroleague with Aris. The team does not know, but I remember playing against Draper in college. Cedevita attracted me to play here by reaching the Eurocup Last 16 and the team has high ambitions this season… The last game I played in Paris was on Saturday, so I am in competitive form and I hope that I will join the team in the best manner."
