PANELLINIOS picks up Scepanovic, cuts Udrih
Vlado Scepanovic is back in GreecePanellinios released Samo Udrih and signed guard Vlado Scepanovic in his place over the weekend. Udrih who averaged 8.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists in nine Eurocup games this season, asked to be released to play for another team. Scepanovic (198,36) returns to Greece to where he previously played for Panathinaikos (2004-2006) and PAOK (2006-07). He started his career with Buducnost Podgorica and has also played for Efes Pilsen in Turkey, Partizan Belgrade in Serbia, Skipper Bologna in Italy, Panathinaikos and PAOK in Greece and Granada and Murcia in Spain. Among his career highlights are winning four league championships and three cups in Serbia and the former Yugoslavia, two Greek League and Cup double with Panathinaikos and the Turkish Cup once. As a member of the Yugoslavian national team, Scepanovic won the gold medal at the 1998 FIBA World Championships and at the 2001 European Championships and the bronze medal at the 1999 European Championships.
