SKYLINERS sign Katzurin as boss
Muli KatzurinFraport Skyliners of Germany announced the addition of Muli Katzurin as head coach for the next season. Katzurin, 57, arrives from Alba Berlin of Germany, a team he joined last January and led them to the German League finals, lost to Brose Baskets. Katzurin is an experienced coach who had coached CEZ Nymburk of the Czech Republic before moving to Alba. Katzurin led Nymburk to four consecutive Czech League titles and also reached the Eurocup Quarterfinals two seasons ago. Katzurin has also coached Slask Wroclaw in Poland, Ironi Ramat Gan, Bnei Herzliya, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Galil Elyon, Hapoel Holon and Maccabi Ramat Gan in Israel, as well as the Polish and the Israeli national teams. He helped Maccabi to win back-to-back Israeli League titles in 1994 and 1995, also won the Polish League with Slask in 2004 and lifted 8 cup trophies in three different countries.
