GASTERRA adds size with Wyatt
Avis Wyatt (Photo: FIBA Europe)GasTerra Flames bolstered its frontcourt for the upcoming season by inking big man Avis Wyatt to a one-year deal. Wyatt (2.10 meters, 26 years old) arrives from Proteas Danoi AEL and led the Cypriot League in blocks last season at 2.1 per game. He also averaged 11.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in 11 Cypriot League games last season. Wyatt has also played for Ironi Ashkelon in Israel and Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where he worked with GasTerra's new coach Hakim Salem. He helped Amsterdam to win the Dutch League title in 2009. Last season, Wyatt reached the Cypriot League final with Proteas.
