BENETTON BASKET adds size with Adrien
Jeff AdrienBenetton Basket bolstered its frontcourt for the upcoming season by inking big man Jeff Adrien to a one-year deal this weekend. Adrien (2.02 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Rio Grande of the NBA Development League, where he led the competition in rebounding (12.2 rpg), also averaging 19.9 points and 1.5 blocks in 22 games. He started the 2010-11 season with Golden State of the NBA and was assigned to Erie Bay of the NBDL before being traded to Rio Grande. Adrien has also played for Breogan Lugo in Spain since finishing his college career at the University of Connecticut (NCAA). He averaged 13.6 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 36 NCAA games in the 2008-09 season - his senior year. Adrien is now set to make his Eurocup debut next season.
