FRAPORT SKYLINERS tabs Leuer
Jon LeuerFraport Skyliners bolstered its frontcourt by inking center Jon Leuer to a one-year deal, the club announced Friday. Leuer (2.08 meters, 22 years old) just finished his college career at the University of Wisconsin (NCAA). He averaged 18.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 34 NCAA games last season, making it to the All-Big Ten first team. Leuer allowed Wisconsin to reach the NCAA Tournament eighthfinals. He also won the Big Ten Tournament with Wisconsin in 2008. "Jon was one of the best talents in the NCAA last season. He is a big player that can play really well in the low post," Skyliners head coach Muli Katzurin said. "He runs the floor very well for a player his size and is a very smart player with high basketball IQ."
